1. Sony NightShot cameras actually record in the IR spectrum. Most of the cameras will have the features that you want and need. You need to decide whether you want to record on digital tape or on DVD
2. I bought one from the source it is a nexxtech, really easy to install and its a no brainer. You can adjust the light and it is under $30.00. When on sale under twenty, any problems hooking it up just contact the email address and they will stay with you until it is working right and you have pictures. It will give you the practice for when you get an expensive one. Hope this helps.
