installing outdoor lights with switch?

Ive installed 8 outdoor 120 volt flood lights to illuminate trees that I have. they are 120 watt max per light. I have it connected a dedicated 15amp breaker. But it seems when I try to switch the lights on they dont go on but when I plug lights in to the plug it works. First should each light be grounded since its on the ground and Second how should the wires be connected? Thanks, dont want to burn the house down.

2. If the breaker is not throwing then you have a bad connection somewhere resulting in an incomplete circuit. Possibly a fuse out somewhere else. Try running something else off the same supply to confirm (or get a voltage tester)
