Is there a Back Light on an LCD Camera screen? Back Light not LCD Screen?
I have ordered an LCD screen to replace the original broken one on a Canon G10. It still lights up but has no usable image. I have heard that in addition to the LCD screen there is also a backlight. Perhaps there is NO backlight on a small camera LCD. They are referenced in computer LCD screens. Is there a backlight and has anyone ever seen it ,or replaced it on a Canon camera?

- All the LCDs in the world have back light . Since unlike plasma or LED they don't emmit light , they need a source of light. This can be made by white LEDs or tiny florescent tubes. Light in LCDs are attached either on top of it or bottom or both. So take care if you want to handle the LCD by yourself. Your new LCD might come complete with light source all together in one piece . In this case change it easy.
