How do i wire two lights to a car battery?
I'm driving a Jeep Wrangler and i want to hook up to small spotlights to sit on my front bumper. I was going to install my own switch to toggle the lights on and off, but i saw that there was an unused switch already in the dashboard. The toggle switch is a two-prong on/off switch, and i've never used one of those. i've only used three prong switches. how do i connect the wires from the battery/lights to the switch?

- if you want to use the toggle switch in the dash then you need to see if it already has power to it or not if it does then all you will have to do is take the B+ wire from the lights and wire it to the switch and use a good ground on the negative wire for the lights. if the switch has no power to it then you need to run power to it from the battery. then follow the steps i gave before. i always recommend wiring in a fuse when you add after market lights or accesories
- You would probably also want to wire in a relay between the switch and the lights. Most dashboard switches are not capable of handling the amperage of a spotlight.
